As a general rule, you should choose a weighted blanket that's approximately 10% of your body weight to achieve the optimal effect of your weighted blanket:

You weigh between 80-100 kg: Here, we recommend the blanket at 9 kg
You weigh between 100-120 kg: Here, we recommend the blanket at 11 kg
You weigh over 120 kg: Here, we recommend the blanket at 13 kg

If you fall between two weight classes and have never tried sleeping with a weighted blanket before, we recommend going one weight down. However, if you've tried a weighted blanket before, suffer from severe sleep problems, and fall between two weight classes, we recommend going one weight up.

At first glance, our weighted blanket may resemble a regular blanket, but it differs in two main aspects:

1) It is heavier. Our weighted blanket is a heavy blanket, available in weight ranges of 5-13 kg. The weight comes from tiny, silent glass beads measuring 0.8mm in diameter, which are evenly distributed throughout the blanket. The added weight provides a gentle, even pressure that has a calming and relaxing effect, reducing stress and improving the quality of your sleep.

2) It is 100% vegan. This means that the weighted blanket does not contain any down or feathers. Instead, our weighted blanket consists of 7 layers. The outer layer is made of 100% OEKO-TEX certified cotton, while the middle layers are made of polyester fibers, providing softness and warmth. The innermost layer contains the tiny glass beads that give the blanket its weight. We intentionally avoided using down and feathers as they can make the blanket too warm for most people. Therefore, the blanket may appear less "fluffy" compared to your regular blanket, but it comes with all the positive effects described above.

The Anew weighted blanket can be washed using a gentle cycle with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. It is not suitable for tumble drying, ironing, or dry cleaning. After washing, it should be hung to dry immediately.

Swedish study (2020): A group of researchers found that weighted blankets have a positive effect on sleep quality in individuals with severe depression, anxiety, and ADHD.
